Fountaine Pajot Group acquires majority stake in The Yacht Sales Co.
The Fountaine Pajot Group has acquired a majority stake in The Yacht Sales Co. in a move that will see the two leading companies expand their presence in the Asia Pacific region.
The Group, which includes Fountaine Pajot Sailing Catamarans, Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts and Dufour Yachts, is based in La Rochelle, France and has been manufacturing cruising yachts and catamarans since 1976. The company took over the Dufour shipyard in 2018, from where it designs and builds sailing and motor yachts.
With the help of its ODSea Lab collaborative platform, it is currently working on an innovative and autonomous on-board energy production system.
Romain Motteau, Managing Deputy CEO of the Fountaine Pajot Group, said the joint venture would further strengthen the Group’s presence throughout Asia Pacific.

The Yacht Sales Co. Specialises in the sale of new and quality pre-owned boats across a network of 15 sales locations in Asia Pacific. In collaboration with its sister company Multihull Solutions, The Yacht Sales Co. represents the world’s premier New Yacht brands of sailing and power multihull and monohulls, including Fountaine Pajot, Dufour Yachts, ILIAD Catamarans, Maritimo, Absolute, Tesoro Yachts, Cora Catamarans, and more. It also operates a pre-owned brokerage division.
The partnership of the two companies follows a long and successful collaboration between The Yacht Sales Co. CEO Mark Elkington and the Fountaine Pajot Group that spans more than 25 years.
