Marine monitoring company Oceanic Systems acquired by Energy Solutions UK
Oceanic Systems, which designs and manufactures marine monitoring and control systems, has been acquired by marine electrical systems supplier Energy Solutions UK.
Oceanic Systems, based in Hampshire, UK, was founded in 2003 and manufactures NMEA2000 based alarm, display and control systems for leisure, commercial and military vessels. This technology is delivered to OEM boat manufacturers and refit companies worldwide and includes the Poseidon system, featuring vector graphics and full customisation, which monitors fuel, water, AC & DC, temperature, pressure, and airflow.
The company also manufactures control modules for monitoring and controlling vessels, including navigation, lights, whistles, and warning lights. Oceanics’ technical capabilities include PCB assembly with automated pick-and-place technology.
Energy Solutions UK is based in Kent and supplies batteries, chargers, solar solutions and control systems to boatbuilders, superyacht owners and boat yards. The company also provides off grid power systems to residential and commercial customers, as well as onboard power systems to vehicles.
Energy Solutions said the acquisition would further enhance its marine technology offerings and ‘advance its digital leadership’ within the boat-building and marine manufacturing sectors.

Oceanic Systems will continue to operate as a stand-alone business, with its 15 employees integrated into Energy Solutions' operations.
